Terms & Conditions
These terms relate to The Travel Photography Club Awards 2025, organised by The Wandering Lens Pty Ltd (ABN [insert ABN]). By entering, you agree to the following:
1. Eligibility
The awards are open worldwide to photographers aged 18 years and over. Entrants must be the sole creator and copyright holder of all images submitted. All entries must meet the submission requirements outlined in the Entry Details section of the Awards Information Page. Entries that do not meet these requirements may be disqualified.
2. Use of Images
Entrants retain full copyright of their work. Winning and shortlisted images may be used by The Wandering Lens Pty Ltd for the purpose of promoting the awards, including on websites, newsletters, social media, and press releases. Images will always be credited with the photographer’s name where used. Unless written notification is received from the photographer requesting otherwise, it is understood that submitted images may be published in connection with the awards.
3. Editing & Authenticity
Images must be authentic representations of the scene. AI may not be used to add elements, alter the scene, or create composites. Standard adjustments such as exposure, colour, crop, sharpening, and dust spot removal are allowed.
4. Prizes
Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable for cash. In the event a prize is unavailable, a prize of equal value may be substituted. Winners, runners-up, and category winners will be announced on www.thewanderinglens.com in December 2025 and shared across associated channels.
5. Judging
Entries will be shortlisted by The Wandering Lens Pty Ltd. A judging panel, consisting of Lisa Michele Burns and selected guest judges with expertise in photography and travel, will review the shortlisted entries and select a winner in each category. The Photographer of the Year and Runner-Up will be determined based on the combined scores of entrants’ top three images across any category.
To be considered for the title of Photographer of the Year – The Travel Photography Club Awards or the Runner-Up award, entrants must submit at least three images across any category. Entrants who submit fewer than three images will still be eligible for Category Winner awards but not for Photographer of the Year or Runner-Up.
Judges’ decisions are final and binding, and no further correspondence will be entered into.
6. Liability
The Wandering Lens Pty Ltd accepts no responsibility for entries not received due to technical issues or errors. Entrants indemnify The Wandering Lens Pty Ltd against any claims relating to copyright, moral rights, or third-party use. The Wandering Lens Pty Ltd also takes no responsibility for prizes that are damaged or lost in transit.
7. Privacy
Personal data collected during the entry process will only be used for administering the awards and will not be shared with third parties beyond the needs of prize fulfilment.
8. Dates & Currency
Entries open at 12:00pm (midday) AEST on 20 October 2025 and close at 11:59pm AEST on 20 November 2025. Late entries will not be accepted. All dates and times are based on Brisbane, Queensland, Australia (AEST). All entry fees are listed and processed in Australian Dollars (AUD).
9. Compliance with Terms
By submitting an entry, photographers confirm that they have complied with all Terms and Conditions outlined above. Entries that are found to breach these conditions may be disqualified. If a prize has already been awarded to a disqualified entry, The Wandering Lens Pty Ltd reserves the right to request that the prize be returned.
